APS Pumps & Motors - Profile
For 19 years, until 1993
the company operated mainly as a service and pump repairs contractor. Since its
founding the company has serviced pumps in some of the most prestigious
buildings in the city of Toronto, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, The
Thompson Building, the Sheraton Centre Hotel, Toronto Convention Centre. Other
clients include buildings owned by some of the largest real estate holders in
Ontario such as Manulife Real Estate, The Standard Life Real Estate Group,
Oxford Properties, Greenwin Properties, Cadillac Fairview and many others. In
1994 APS Mechanical Technologies Inc. started manufacturing Pressure Boosting
Stations using CSA certified brand name components and pumps manufactured by
S.A. Armstrong Limited and Grundfos Canada. At the same time the company
started purchasing commercial pump kits from SAA which enabled it to build
specific application pumps, using high efficiency motors, for fast delivery. In
1998 to better identify its Pumps and Electric Motors operations the company
decided to operate under a new trade name: APS Pumps & Motors. In the same
year, a decision was made to expand its Pump Division to respond to the
replacement market need for a supplier of pumps and complete systems capable of
delivering its products on a short term basis. Working together with its key
suppliers, the company has improved its stockroom products to levels that allow
quick response to demands for pumps, replacement parts and motors by the
Heating, Plumbing and Air Conditioning trades working with Hydronic Heating and
Fluid Dynamics. Today we are able to provide quick delivery for a wide range of
pumps and pumping systems assembled from brand name components in our
facilities. Offering superior proven products manufactured by some of the
largest pump companies in the world, identifying market needs and keeping our
customers satisfied, are part of our goals for the present and future.
